The Armed Forces Chapter (AFC) is a chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement ISPI. AFC serves the military, consultants, contractors, and others who seek to promote excellence in military training and performance improvement. Membership is open to anyone associated with the military services from around the globe. Current members are from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.

June Webinar
Our June Webinar will be Needs Assessment Data Gathering Methods Applied and Lessons Learned on June 23rd 2009 from 1300 EDT to 1400 EDT. Presented by Lt(N) Brett Christensen, Michael J. Hajba, Barb Spice, and Kayleen Grage.
Boise State IPT MS Students will share their methodology and lessons learned on data gathering for a recent needs assessment project conducted as part of their studies. At the end of the webinar - attendees will be able to describe three data gathering methods, their pros and cons and take away job aids for each method as well as lessons learned from a real life application of a needs assessment.

This professional development event is open to all current members of the Armed Forces Chapter of ISPI. The webinar will be delivered using the Canadian Defence Academy’s DNDLearn Live room combined with a telephone bridge for improved audio access.
Webmaster Recognized
The Armed Forces Chapter recognized Michael Polkinghorn for his exceptional work on the AFC website. Pictured here is Michael being congratulated by Past-President, Roger Chevalier. Michael received an engraved pen and pencil set as a token of the Chapter’s gratitude. Then Michael was forced to post this announcement on our website.
Committees
The AFC Membership Committee has been established to examine the current membership structure and benefits associated to each type of membership in the current AFC By-Laws. Members Scott Rooke from the USCG and Rebecca G. Bodrero from Concurrent Technologies Corporation have both come forward to work on this initiative. If you would like to know more about the committee or have opinions you would liek to share, please let them know and they will pass it to the other committee members!
The AFC Website committee has also been established. The committee is hard at work defining what the next generation AFC website and Web 2.0 presence will look like. If you have suggestions, please send them to David Padley or Michael Polkinghorn.
