Webinars
Webinars (also known as web meetings) are web-based seminars. Webinars leverage the power of the World Wide Web to move meetings from a fixed location to the online world. They offer visual presentations via video or PowerPoint and audio via the telephone or VOIP.
Using the web in this fashion has many benefits.
- Webinars are free to AFC members. Depending on the presenter and location, Webinars can save AFC members money that could easily ali up to over $1,000 per session.
- Attending a Webinar can be accomplished from the comfort of your home. There is no need to dress up. You caneven wear your PJs if you want!
- You can attend the Webinar from your workplace. There is no need to travel to some distant location.
- Many of the Webinar presenters are Human Performance Improvement experts. Presenters such as Dr. Geary Rummler (Introduction to Serious Performance Consulting), Dr. Judith Hale (Implementation: Assuring the Adoption), Dr. Robert Brinkerhoff (Evaluation of Training), Dr. Roger Chevalier (Performance Cause Analysis), and others.
